Business Development Coordinator

About the role

Plan International Lebanon is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support the coordination of business development and resource mobilisation processes. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role works closely with programme, MERL, finance, advocacy, grants, risk and partnership teams to identify and pursue funding opportunities aligned with the country strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and identify relevant funding opportunities across humanitarian, development and nexus streams.
• Assess donor priorities, eligibility, funding levels, geographic and sector focus, timelines and partnership requirements.
• Engage with Plan International National Offices and fundraising offices to share opportunities and priorities.
• Represent Plan International Lebanon with donors and stakeholders as delegated.
• Develop donor engagement and fundraising materials such as capacity statements, briefs and success stories.
• Lead the development of high‑quality concept notes and grant proposals in line with SOPs and donor requirements.
• Coordinate proposal development with internal teams, partners and relevant National Offices.
• Maintain accurate funding pipelines, opportunity trackers, donor profiles and proposal archives.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional experience in proposal development, business development or a related field.
• University degree in Social Sciences, Economics, International Development or a related discipline.
• Excellent written and spoken Arabic and English, with strong proposal and report writing skills.
• Experience working with donors such as EU, AFD, SDC, DFAT, ECHO, FCDO and Gulf donors.
• Good understanding of the Lebanese and regional context, especially issues affecting children and girls.
• Ability to work independently within a small team and coordinate across sectors.
