Architectural Design & Supervision for ISF Station (Haret Saida)

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Lebanon is seeking an architect to redesign and supervise the renovation of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) Gendarmerie Station in Haret Saida. The consultancy will support community‑oriented policing by creating a user‑friendly, secure facility that serves the surrounding districts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design of the ISF station, ensuring compliance with ISF technical standards and UNDP project guidelines.
• Supervise construction activities, monitor progress, and ensure quality control throughout the 6‑month engagement.
• Coordinate with the UNDP Rule of Law and Governance team and the designated ISF focal point to schedule meetings and align project milestones.
• Incorporate lessons learned from previous community‑policing pilots into the design solution.
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Chief Technical Advisor/Project Officer.

Required profile

• Licensed architect with experience in public‑sector projects.
• Familiarity with Lebanese building codes and security‑facility requirements.
• Ability to work under the guidance of UNDP technical advisors and collaborate with ISF officials.
• National consultancy eligibility (Lebanese resident).
