WASH & Shelter Coordinator

About the role

The WASH & Shelter Coordinator will lead the planning, design, implementation and evaluation of water, sanitation, hygiene and shelter interventions for Save the Children in Lebanon. The role combines technical oversight of infrastructure projects with coordination of emergency distributions and partnership management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute work plans for WASH and shelter activities, including assessments, civil works, distributions of kits and materials, and monitoring of quality.
• Supervise and support WASH and Shelter Officers, manage budgets, coordinate with supply chain, finance and HR, and ensure compliance with Save the Children and national standards.
• Represent SCI in local coordination groups, liaise with donors, partners and authorities, and contribute to proposal writing and advocacy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning or a related built‑environment field (Master’s degree is an asset).
• Experience in the humanitarian sector, familiarity with Sphere standards, donor reporting tools and working with NGOs/UN bodies.
