Vehicle Section Head

About the role

The Vehicle Section Head will lead the Vehicle Maintenance team to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Daher Foods’ fleet. This senior position is responsible for maximizing vehicle availability through preventive and corrective maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and continuous improvement while complying with safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set daily maintenance priorities and assign work orders to mechanics and technicians based on operational requirements.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance activities for trucks, vans, forklifts, and company vehicles.
• Monitor vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and servicing to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with maintenance standards.
• Oversee maintenance of diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, braking, suspension, steering, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Supervise welding and fabrication repairs (steel and aluminum) whenever required.
• Conduct quality inspections on completed repairs before releasing vehicles for operation.
• Respond promptly to emergency vehicle breakdowns and coordinate repair activities to minimize downtime.
• Monitor fleet availability, identify corrective actions for underperforming vehicles, and conduct root‑cause analysis for recurring failures.
• Support the Vehicle Maintenance Manager in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and ensuring accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure critical spare parts and maintenance materials are available to avoid repair delays.

• Proven ability to lead and supervise a vehicle maintenance team.
• Experience supporting a Vehicle Maintenance Manager to achieve fleet reliability.
