Thermoforming Documentation & Data Control Specialist (PDM/ERP)

About the role

The Thermoforming Technical Document & Data Control Specialist is the production‑facing owner of engineering documentation and ERP master data for heavy‑gauge thermoforming programs. The role ensures that SolidWorks/EPDM specifications and NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, and work order packets are accurate, released, and maintained throughout the production lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, revise, and release SolidWorks drawings, layouts, and specifications; maintain EPDM/PDM records with correct revision history.
• Manage redlines, legacy drawing cleanup, and quick‑turn edits to support urgent production needs.
• Create and maintain NetSuite item masters, BOMs, routings, work instructions, and packaging instructions.
• Perform BOM and inventory hygiene to ensure work orders contain all required components.
• Administer the Engineering Change Request (ECR) / Engineering Change Order (ECO) process end‑to‑end, including routing approvals, tracking, and documentation.
• Initiate and manage deviations, ensuring proper classification, approval, and closure.
• Coordinate work order refresh/reprint when ERP data changes, guaranteeing the floor works from the latest approved packet.
• Participate in daily production cadence and launch error‑proof meetings to eliminate documentation‑driven downtime.

Required profile

• Experience working with SolidWorks and EPDM/PDM systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in NetSuite ERP, including item master, BOM, and routing management.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 document control and traceability requirements.
• Ability to manage engineering change processes and deviation documentation.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on data accuracy and release control.
