Technical Support Engineer – Maintenance

About the role

The Technical Support Engineer will join the Maintenance department of Liban Cables, a Nexans business, in Nahr Ibrahim, Lebanon. You will act as the primary technical contact, helping the maintenance team solve complex issues and supporting new project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to maintenance teams for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Prepare and monitor new project execution, including ordering goods and feasibility studies.
• Validate project completion and acceptance with relevant departments.
• Organise and deliver training sessions for the maintenance crew.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and Nexans regulations.
• Participate in local meetings and contribute to plant performance analysis.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance for all plant equipment.
• Manage subcontractors and outsourcing activities.
• Assist in preparing the department’s annual budget.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance; experience with commissioning and startup of industrial machinery is essential.
• Good knowledge of industrial mechanics is a plus.
• Fluent in Arabic, English and French (both oral and written).
• Strong computer literacy.
