Spa Receptionist

About the role

The Spa Receptionist welcomes guests and members to the Health Club and helps them during their visit so that their expectations are met or exceeded while following service standards. The receptionist is the first and last impression of the spa and must be very professional.

Key responsibilities

• Greet all visitors warmly, invite them to sign the consultation form and assist them with lockers, towels, bathrobes and information about services and facilities.
• Promote membership services, give tours and help new members complete their application forms.
• Handle cash transactions such as retail sales, daily spa revenue and guest fees, issue receipts and balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
• Answer incoming calls, provide information, make bookings or refer matters to the right person, and liaise with therapists on bookings and cancellations.
• Thank departing guests and invite them to return.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports and write and read handover notes for the next shift.

Required profile

• One year of reception experience in an international spa.
• Local language with excellent oral and written skills; good English, oral and written.
• Advantage: Business Administration, Personal Assistant or Secretary certificate, and sales or customer service training.
• Knowledge of natural therapies preferred.

Required skills

• Client-facing experience in reception or front of house.
• Business writing, stock and retail management, and telephone system operations.
• Computer literate with experience of in-house booking and database systems.
