Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

About the role

The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) will embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle, combining automation, API validation, and AI‑driven practices. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps, the SDET ensures reliable, scalable solutions that meet safety, compliance, and customer success goals.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional scrum teams to define test strategies and develop comprehensive test plans.
• Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases covering functionality, customizations, performance, security, and integrations.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry‑standard tools, leveraging AI agents where possible.
• Design and execute API and data validation tests to ensure accuracy, consistency, and security across services.
• Perform manual testing, identify defects, and work with developers for timely resolution.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing in dynamic deployment environments.
• Apply AI/ML techniques for intelligent test generation, dynamic prioritization, anomaly detection, and predictive quality analytics.
• Conduct performance testing, identify bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with business stakeholders.
• Track, manage, and report defects using Jira, ensuring timely closure.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software testing experience, including at least 3 years focused on automation.
• Strong ability to collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams.
