Social Science Editor

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Social Science Editor to join our educational publishing team. You will be responsible for reviewing, editing, and enhancing learning materials across a broad range of social‑science subjects, ensuring they meet high academic standards.

Key responsibilities

• Edit, proofread, and verify the accuracy of textbooks, assessments, lesson plans, and digital content.
• Check historical, political, economic, geographical, and social‑science facts for correctness.
• Align content with curriculum requirements, learning objectives, and national educational standards.
• Conduct research and fact‑checking to maintain academic integrity.
• Ensure materials are neutral, culturally sensitive, inclusive, and age‑appropriate.
• Simplify complex concepts into clear, engaging language for learners.
• Collaborate with curriculum developers, educators, writers, and subject‑matter experts.
• Maintain consistent terminology, formatting, style, and instructional approach across publications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Studies Education, Sociology, History, Geography, Economics, International Relations or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in editing, content development, educational publishing, curriculum design, research, or teaching.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple social‑science disciplines such as Geography, History, Economics, Sociology, or Civic Education.
