Shipment & Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Shipment & Logistics Coordinator will oversee the planning, execution and monitoring of all inbound, outbound, cross‑border and transshipment activities supporting Iraq‑based projects and field locations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and monitor inbound, outbound, cross‑border and transshipment shipments for Iraq‑based projects and field locations.
• Prepare and verify all shipping documentation, including letters of credit, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, Incoterms and company policies.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport providers, suppliers and clients to secure smooth clearance and resolve any shipment issues.
• Manage local logistics vendors, support freight cost control and participate in rate negotiations.
• Maintain accurate shipment records, produce tracking reports and KPI updates for management.
• Collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, Operations and Project teams to meet delivery timelines.
• Ensure all shipments adhere to HSE, security, customs and other logistics requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in shipping and logistics, with a strong focus on Iraq‑related operations.
• Proven experience handling cross‑border and transshipment activities and managing LC documentation.
• Familiarity with Iraqi customs procedures, import/export regulations and international shipping standards.
• Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transport companies and shipping agents.
• Oil & Gas sector experience is a strong advantage.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
