Senior Research Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Officer

About the role

Siren Associates is seeking a senior professional to synthesize evidence across projects, identify emerging insights, and communicate findings to diverse audiences. The role focuses on connecting and interpreting data rather than designing the MEL system.

Key responsibilities

• Bring together quantitative and qualitative evidence from multiple projects to identify patterns, gaps and implications.
• Interpret findings in the context of Lebanon’s political, institutional, social and economic environment.
• Support sense‑making processes, frame forward‑looking questions and provide practical recommendations.
• Design and conduct rigorous research using mixed methods, ensuring ethical and inclusive data practices.
• Produce clear written outputs – reports, policy briefs, articles and presentations – and translate technical findings into accessible stories.
• Use data visualisation and narrative structure to convey evidence to senior and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in research, evaluation, learning or policy analysis.
• Strong understanding of monitoring and evaluation concepts and ability to synthesize incomplete evidence.
• Excellent English writing and editing skills with a portfolio of clear, engaging outputs.
• Deep contextual knowledge of Lebanon’s institutions, political economy and social dynamics.
• High integrity, sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.

• Qualitative analysis software.
• Professional proficiency in Arabic (desirable).
