Senior Regional Maintenance Manager – RME

About the role

Amazon's North America Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team is seeking a Senior Regional Maintenance Manager to lead safety, reliability and cost‑optimization initiatives across its fulfillment network. You will partner with site managers, senior leadership and vendor partners to drive equipment uptime and embed best‑in‑class maintenance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Champion safety standards and ensure field compliance.
• Lead, mentor and expand a network of Facilities Managers across North America.
• Drive maintenance excellence through innovation, documentation, standardisation and safety practices.
• Advise senior leadership on equipment end‑of‑life decisions using ROI analysis.
• Oversee budget development, execution and capital planning.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to achieve economies of scale.
• Audit maintenance execution and safety practices across sites.
• Coordinate multi‑site maintenance teams, develop RFPs and purchase orders.
• Support Fulfillment Center General Managers in facilities management.
• Recruit, hire and build a world‑class facilities maintenance organization.

Required profile

• 7+ years industrial maintenance experience.
• 7+ years leading organisations of 100+ employees.
• 10+ years direct leadership/supervisory experience.
• 7+ years managing spend, labour budgets, RCA and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Engineering Technology or Reliability Engineering.
• Proven senior leadership development and talent‑management experience.

• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) systems.
• Packaging automation and storage systems.
• ROI analysis and capital planning.
• Budget management and vendor negotiation.
• RFP and purchase‑order development.
• Statistical analysis, root‑cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement (CI).
• Six Sigma Black Belt (preferred).
• Professional Engineering registration (preferred).
