Senior Proposal Engineer - ICT

About the role

The Senior Proposal Engineer will lead the creation of technical and commercial proposals for ICT, ELV, smart systems, data centre, telecommunications and digital infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical approaches, cost estimates, schedules and ensure high‑quality deliverables meet client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop technical and commercial proposals for ICT, ELV, smart systems, telecommunications and digital infrastructure projects.
• Gather and supervise internal documentation, standards, specifications and project references from previous bids.
• Define technical methodologies, scopes of work and execution strategies for systems‑integration projects.
• Prepare project schedules, work breakdown structures, staffing plans and resource allocations.
• Consolidate technical staff resumes, certifications and supporting documents for client submissions.
• Coordinate with the Contracts Department on contract terms and commercial requirements.
• Obtain quotations from vendors, suppliers and subcontractors and estimate engineering man‑hours.
• Validate project durations, technical assumptions and staffing requirements with multidisciplinary teams.
• Review costing assumptions, optimise pricing strategies and incorporate margins and contingencies.
• Package, format and submit proposal packages on time according to tender specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer & Communications Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in proposal development for ICT, ELV, telecommunications, smart systems or digital infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of technical and commercial proposal processes, including costing, scheduling and bid documentation.
• Excellent organisational, time‑management and technical writing abilities.
