Senior Project Engineer – Power Distribution

About the role

The Senior Project Engineer – Power Distribution leads design teams and manages the delivery of complex power distribution projects for K&A. This senior position works closely with Project Managers, clients, and multidisciplinary stakeholders to ensure design quality, compliance, and client satisfaction across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design teams throughout the delivery of power distribution projects.
• Conduct client discussions to define design criteria, budgets, and project requirements.
• Develop and present concept, schematic, and final designs, including all required drawings and reports.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary efforts with Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Transportation, and other disciplines.
• Drive value‑engineering initiatives and secure approvals for design deliverables.
• Collaborate with Quantity Surveying on tender documents, specifications, and Bills of Quantities.
• Oversee checking of design deliverables, quality checks, and peer reviews.
• Support work‑program development, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
• Provide design support during construction supervision, responding to RFIs and resolving design conflicts.
• Represent K&A on power distribution matters and contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 12+ years of experience in power transmission and distribution infrastructure design.
• Proven track record managing large, complex power distribution projects.
• Significant experience in transmission and distribution systems analysis.
• Familiarity with global best practices and international engineering standards.
• Preferable experience within the Middle East market.
