Senior Network Solutions Engineer – Enterprise Networking & Wireless (Remote)

About the role

GigaKOM is seeking a Senior Network Solutions Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise networking and wireless solutions for clients across California. The role is fully remote and combines hands‑on engineering, solution architecture, pre‑sales collaboration, and strategic consulting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, secure LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD‑WAN architectures for campus, branch, data‑center, and hybrid environments.
• Configure and optimize advanced Layer 2/3 protocols such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, STP, VXLAN/EVPN, QoS, multicast, and IPv6.
• Lead wireless and campus networking projects, including site surveys, RF design, and performance tuning.
• Collaborate with sales, solutions architects, and client stakeholders on pre‑sales activities, proof‑of‑concepts, and technical workshops.
• Provide ongoing support for network modernization initiatives and ensure long‑term operational stability.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in enterprise network engineering and solution delivery.
• Proven track record of designing multi‑vendor networks for large‑scale organizations.
• Strong communication skills to interact with clients, sales teams, and technical peers.

Required skills

• Cisco, Cisco Meraki, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet equipment.
• Routing and switching protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS.
• Wireless design and optimization (WLAN, RF planning).
• SD‑WAN technologies and hybrid connectivity.
• Network security integration.
• Layer 2/3 features: VLANs, STP, VXLAN/EVPN, QoS, multicast, IPv6.
