Senior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

HITEK Engineering and Contracting is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the delivery of mechanical systems for infrastructure and building projects in Beirut. The role combines technical design, code compliance, and multidisciplinary coordination to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, preparation, and review of detailed mechanical drawings and 3D models.
• Ensure all mechanical solutions comply with international and local codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Coordinate closely with civil, electrical, and construction teams to integrate mechanical systems.
• Manage project schedules, resources, and deliverables, communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in research and development activities, evaluating new technologies and materials.
• Conduct site visits, support quality assurance, and oversee commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in infrastructure, power, energy, water, or building projects (residential, industrial, institutional, healthcare, airports, commercial).
• Strong understanding of mechanical codes and standards, with a focus on safety and quality.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Experience mentoring junior team members and working in multidisciplinary environments.
• Professional engineering certification or membership is an asset.
