Senior Maintenance & Technical Services Officer

About the role

The Senior Maintenance & Technical Services Officer will lead the maintenance and technical operations across university campuses, ensuring that all building systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently to support academic and administrative activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for electrical, mechanical and civil systems.
• Supervise technicians, contractors and service providers, ensuring quality, compliance and timely resolution of issues.
• Maintain operational readiness of critical infrastructure such as power, HVAC, water and other essential services.
• Monitor system performance, identify risks and drive corrective or improvement actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards and coordinate with the Security & HSE unit.
• Support emergency response within the Incident Command System (ICS) framework and guarantee infrastructure readiness during incidents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or a related field, or a Technical Diploma with relevant experience.
• 6–8 years of experience in maintenance or technical operations, preferably in a university, hospital or multi‑building campus.
• Proven experience supervising technical teams and managing contractors.
• Familiarity with CAFM or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and knowledge of BMS and smart‑building technologies.
