Senior Financial Compliance Specialist

About the role

Azadea Group, a lifestyle retail company operating more than 40 international franchise concepts across 15 countries in the Middle East and Africa, is hiring a Senior Financial Compliance Specialist. The role strengthens the compliance team and ensures consistent application of the compliance program by controlling work outputs accurately and efficiently, working closely with local entities and the Shared Services team.

Key responsibilities

• Support, enhance and update accounting software regularly to match business requirements.
• Take part in cross-functional accounting and finance projects, helping to understand business processes, find root causes and develop solutions.
• Oversee the tax function so the company complies with tax laws and regulations in every jurisdiction where it operates.
• Work with local and Shared Service Center accounting teams to resolve compliance issues, escalating them when needed.
• Ensure accounting policies and procedures are implemented and kept up to date across existing and new markets.
• Prepare standard financial statements and reports through monthly reconciliations, analysis and inquiries.
• Run quarterly deep-dive balance sheet analyses and prepare the required reports and presentations.
• Grant access to users on financial modules and review it semiannually in line with audit directives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA is a must.
• Four to six years of experience in a similar role.
• Fluency in English.
