Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead the design and coordination of high‑voltage (HV) and medium‑voltage (MV) electrical systems for substations and infrastructure projects in Beirut. The role involves developing concept and detailed designs, preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications, and ensuring compliance with international and local codes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of HV/MV power distribution, lighting, low‑voltage systems, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare technical calculations, drawings, and specifications using ETAP, AutoCAD and Revit.
• Review and validate designs produced by junior engineers.
• Coordinate with mechanical, structural, architectural, and ICT disciplines.
• Support tendering, value engineering, and design optimisation activities.
• Provide technical support during construction, review submittals and shop drawings, and attend site visits.
• Contribute to internal standards, tools, and best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical design within a consulting engineering environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, NF (Normes Françaises), IEEE and local Lebanese regulations.
• Proven experience with HV and MV power distribution, protection, and load calculations.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
