Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to manage core accounting functions, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and support accurate financial reporting. The role involves close collaboration with internal departments, auditors, and external advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and verify the accuracy of general ledger entries and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in audits, cost reporting, and tax filings (VAT, salary tax, non‑resident tax, NSSF, income tax) within set deadlines.
• Prepare and submit periodic financial reports.
• Handle legal documentation for NSSF compliance in coordination with legal advisors.
• Liaise with banks for routine transactions and documentation.
• Execute daily cash closing according to company policies.
• Process intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and manage the fixed‑assets register and depreciation.
• Support external audit processes by preparing required schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of taxation and NSSF regulations.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, or CIA are a plus.
