Project Officer – Implementation & Coordination

About the role

The Project Officer will support the efficient delivery of project and grant activities, working closely with field staff, partners and stakeholders. This role ensures that all actions align with organisational policies, donor requirements and safeguarding standards while addressing the needs of vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Implement assigned activities according to weekly work plans and guidance from the Project Coordinator.
• Supervise field operations and support teams to ensure safe, organised and efficient implementation.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, donor requirements, safeguarding standards and operational procedures.
• Identify implementation challenges, propose solutions and escalate issues when necessary.
• Coordinate with partners, suppliers and community representatives to facilitate smooth activity delivery.
• Assist with procurement and logistical follow‑up in line with approved budgets and procedures.
• Support data collection, documentation and reporting to maintain accuracy and accountability.
• Maintain regular communication with the Project Coordinator and relevant teams regarding progress and field updates.

Required profile

• Experience supervising field staff or casual workers in project settings.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, safeguarding principles and organisational policies.
• Ability to identify and address operational challenges and work collaboratively with partners.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting progress and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
