About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Associate to support its Public Health Unit in Lebanon. Working under the Head of Programmes and the National Project Officer, the associate will contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of public‑health interventions that strengthen health systems and improve access for vulnerable populations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in implementing and monitoring public‑health project activities in coordination with the Ministry of Public Health and partner organisations.
- Collect, compile, analyse and present data and information related to project performance and health outcomes.
- Monitor project budgets, verify fund availability, obtain approvals and update financial records.
- Serve as the focal point for administrative coordination, liaising with internal units and external stakeholders to process requests and clearances.
- Prepare status reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables and other documentation for senior staff and partners.
- Support the organization of meetings, workshops, training sessions and community‑engagement events.
- Participate in field visits and coordination meetings with local authorities, NGOs, UN agencies and donors, providing timely updates to supervisors.
- Monitor the work of implementing partners, reporting delays, gaps or non‑compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, nursing, health sciences or a related field, with at least three years of relevant professional experience; alternatively, a high‑school diploma with five years of experience.
- Proven experience in implementing, monitoring and reporting on public‑health or humanitarian programmes.
- Experience supporting health‑access initiatives, communicable‑disease programming and community engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to collect, verify and present programme data and to prepare technical documentation.
- Experience liaising with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders.
- Background working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons or other vulnerable groups.
- Prior experience with international humanitarian organisations in a multicultural environment is an advantage.
