Programme Associate – Human Rights

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Associate to support its Immigration and Border Governance (IBG) Programme in Lebanon. The role focuses on integrating human‑rights, humanitarian‑law and refugee‑law considerations into border‑management projects and ensuring compliance with the UN Human Rights Due Diligence Policy.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in implementing, monitoring and reporting on human‑rights related activities within the IBG programme.
- Support the application of the UN Human Rights Due Diligence Policy (HRDDP) to project components.
- Contribute to activities that protect human rights in immigration and border‑governance contexts.
- Provide technical support to migration policy officers and programme managers on human‑rights, humanitarian‑law and refugee‑law issues.
- Help prepare documentation, reports and briefing materials for stakeholders.
Required profile
- Knowledge of human‑rights, humanitarian law and refugee law frameworks.
- Familiarity with UN HRDDP or similar due‑diligence mechanisms.
- Experience working with government or inter‑governmental partners in migration or border‑governance projects.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
