Program Coordinator – Humanitarian Programs (Lebanon)

About the role

The Program Coordinator will support the Head of Mission in supervising humanitarian programmes and local staff in Lebanon. This position combines strategic planning, project design, and operational oversight to ensure effective delivery of aid.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the mission’s operational strategy through context analysis, needs assessments, budgeting and HR planning.
• Design and plan projects, including baseline surveys, needs assessments and action proposals.
• Oversee project implementation, activity planning, monitoring and verification of results.
• Manage partnerships, define modalities, supervise capacity‑building plans and ensure partner oversight.
• Prepare and submit reports for the Head of Mission, donors and ad‑hoc requests.
• Monitor programme budgets, validate expenditures and ensure alignment with forecasts.
• Address project delays, conflicts or issues and propose improvements to reporting formats.

Required profile

• Relevant Master’s level qualification in International Relations, Political Sciences, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in humanitarian work.
• Proven strategic thinking, problem‑solving and ability to translate analysis into actionable plans.
• Experience managing national and expatriate staff in insecure environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English; French and/or Arabic desirable.
