Production Calibration Officer

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Production Calibration Officer to ensure that all production equipment and instrumentation are calibrated, maintained, and monitored in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). The role supports reliable manufacturing operations, oversees the Building Management System (BMS), and contributes to continuous‑improvement projects within the Production Department.

Key responsibilities

• Perform calibration of mechanical and electronic production equipment and instrumentation.
• Execute and maintain preventive‑maintenance and calibration schedules.
• Troubleshoot, conduct minor repairs, and carry out routine maintenance.
• Prepare and maintain calibration records, equipment labels, and related documentation.
• Coordinate with Engineering on work orders, breakdowns, and corrective actions.
• Develop and update SOPs for equipment calibration, operation, and maintenance.
• Investigate equipment breakdowns, draft deviation reports, and support root‑cause investigations, including for the Purified Water System.
• Monitor Purified Water System parameters and sanitisation activities.
• Assist in qualification and validation of production equipment and instrumentation.
• Manage inventory requisitions for calibration tools, spare parts, and supplies.
• Support BMS operation, review daily reports, and generate BMS documentation for manufacturing.
• Contribute to OEE and Lean Manufacturing initiatives by ensuring accurate production data entry.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of experience in equipment calibration, instrumentation, maintenance or production support, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong knowledge of GMP requirements, calibration practices, and equipment qualification principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational abilities.
