Procurement Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer to lead the end‑to‑end procurement process for large infrastructure projects. The role involves securing high‑quality materials, equipment and services while meeting cost, quality and delivery targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full procurement cycle: supplier sourcing, RFQ preparation, bid solicitation, technical and commercial evaluation, negotiations, purchase order issuance and order expediting.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, BOQs and material requisitions to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and qualify local and international suppliers and subcontractors based on capability, quality and commercial competitiveness.
• Prepare technical and commercial bid comparison reports and recommend supplier selections.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties and contractual conditions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, QA/QC, Finance, Warehouse and Logistics to support project schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance, track order progress and resolve delivery, quality or contractual issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5‑7 years of procurement experience in engineering, construction, EPC, infrastructure or oil & gas sectors.
• Proven track record in technical procurement, supplier evaluation and commercial negotiations.
• Experience handling both local and international sourcing and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
