About the role
We are seeking a Physics Editor to join our editorial team and ensure the accuracy and quality of physics textbooks. The role involves editing, proofreading, and enhancing existing content while collaborating closely with graphic designers and illustrators. The position is onsite, with working hours Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM (lunch 1:00‑2:00 PM) and Saturday 8:00 AM‑1:30 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Edit and proofread physics textbooks, correcting errors and rewriting specific sections as needed.
- Research new physics material and integrate it into existing textbooks.
- Collaborate with other editors, graphic designers, and illustrators on project tasks.
- Maintain high editorial standards and meet tight deadlines.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring consistency across all materials.
Required profile
- Degree in Physics or a related field.
- Proven teaching experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and prioritize tasks under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Required skills
- Computer literacy.
