Payroll Officer

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Payroll Officer to manage the end‑to‑end payroll process for our organization. The role ensures accurate and timely salary payments while maintaining compliance with local labor and tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain employee master data and payroll records in HR and payroll systems.
• Monitor daily attendance, resolve discrepancies with project teams, and ensure accurate payroll calculations.
• Process monthly payroll, including salaries, allowances, overtime, deductions, bonuses and related transactions.
• Calculate final settlements, end‑of‑service benefits, leave encashments and other entitlements in line with legislation and company policy.
• Investigate and resolve payroll queries, system issues and discrepancies promptly.
• Document, reconcile and obtain approvals for all payroll transactions.
• Maintain compliance with labor laws, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required payroll documentation.
• Participate in payroll system testing, upgrades and process improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance and project teams to ensure accurate employee data and smooth payroll operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field.
• 3–4 years of experience in payroll administration.
• Knowledge of payroll software, accounting systems, employment legislation and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
