Part‑time Communications Officer – Lebanon

About the role
The Communications Officer will increase Project HOPE’s visibility and raise awareness of its humanitarian activities in Lebanon. Working as the field lead, the officer will manage in‑country media relations and create compelling stories, interviews and other content to promote the organization’s response.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a communications strategy in coordination with regional and headquarters focal points.
- Contribute to strategic messaging aligned with organizational priorities and donor visibility requirements.
- Work closely with regional social‑media and communication service providers on content development and management.
- Identify, gather and craft success stories, human‑interest features and news angles for website, social media, donor reporting and media relations.
- Conduct interviews with program staff and participants to generate high‑quality external communications.
- Draft press releases, fact sheets, briefing notes and other communication materials.
- Ensure all materials are accurate, ethical and aligned with safeguarding standards.
Required profile
- Experience in communications, media relations and content creation for humanitarian activities.
- Ability to develop and execute communication strategies and strategic messaging.
- Strong storytelling skills, including conducting interviews and writing for diverse audiences.
- Commitment to ethical standards and safeguarding principles.
