Part-Time Assistant Multimedia Administrator (Beirut/Byblos)

About the role

The IT Infrastructure Office of a university is seeking a part‑time Assistant Multimedia Administrator to support the installation, maintenance and repair of audio‑visual and IT equipment in teaching and learning spaces. The role also includes training faculty and staff on the use of this technology.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance, repair and renovation of AV equipment such as touch panels, control systems, projectors, lighting, video‑conferencing tools and digital signage.
• Support installation, configuration and replacement of devices in learning spaces.
• Program, monitor and update Crestron control systems.
• Upgrade equipment according to schedule and ensure smart classrooms operate reliably.
• Monitor status of learning spaces, respond quickly to incidents and minimise downtime.
• Maintain inventory of equipment, track repairs and replacements.
• Provide second‑line support for AV and IT technology and log service requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication or Computer Science.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with audio‑visual or presentation technologies.
• Crestron programming certification is a plus.
• Physical ability to work in environments with dust, noise and varying conditions.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Crestron control‑system programming.
• Experience with AV/touch panels, projection, lighting and video‑conferencing equipment.
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS and Android operating systems.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as WebEx, Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
