Operations Officer

About the role

The Operations Officer will ensure accurate inventory management and support the sales and logistics processes. Working closely with suppliers, customs agents and the sales team, the role guarantees that stock levels are up‑to‑date and that goods move smoothly through the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a real‑time overview of inventory and update records continuously.
• Place purchase orders with suppliers following company protocols and sales forecasts.
• Coordinate with clearance agents to manage customs clearance and receipt of goods.
• Resolve mismatches between received items and supplier or customs documentation.
• Enter all incoming and outgoing items into the inventory software, excluding sales orders.
• Process product returns efficiently.
• Provide the sales team and management with turnover analysis and weekly reports on near‑expiry items.
• Identify and report any stock losses or unexpected additions.
• Monitor consignment items, ensure timely retrieval before expiry or sale, and keep reports current.
• Prepare and submit daily activity and achievement reports to the supervisor.
• Assist with occasional operational or administrative tasks such as printing promotional materials, renewing subscriptions, and listing brochures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in inventory, operations, logistics or administrative roles.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational ability and discretion with sensitive information.
• Proactive attitude with capacity to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with document management systems.
