Nurse Manager – Operating Room (Pre‑operative)

About the role

The Nurse Manager for the Operating Room (Pre‑operative) leads patient‑centered care delivery on a 24/7 basis, ensuring compliance with institutional policies, professional standards, and international accreditation requirements. The role combines clinical oversight with management of human, financial, and operational resources.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve quality of patient care through audits, performance improvement initiatives, and adherence to safety standards.
• Manage human‑resource functions including recruitment, orientation, appraisal, coaching, and professional development in partnership with HR and the Clinical Development Center.
• Plan, analyze, and control unit budgets, staffing expenses, and inventory of supplies, ensuring cost‑effective operations.
• Utilize information systems to support decisions related to clinical care, operations, and finance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (Master’s preferred).
• 5–7 years of RN experience at AUBMC or similar setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Fluency in Arabic and English; French is an asset.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission International requirements and Magnet standards.

• Strong communication, leadership, and resource‑management capabilities.
