Night Manager

About the role

The Night Manager oversees all front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations during the night shift, ensuring smooth check‑in/check‑out, guest satisfaction, and accurate financial reporting. This role is pivotal for maintaining service standards and handling VIP guests, complaints, and night‑audit procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect front office, housekeeping, lobby, food & beverage outlets, public areas and parking during the shift.
• Greet VIPs, manage guest complaints and ensure compliance with front‑office policies.
• Conduct efficient check‑in and check‑out, maintain guest registration cards and special program records.
• Handle incoming/outgoing calls, provide hotel information and membership details.
• Perform night‑audit functions, produce revenue reports and reconcile daily sales transactions.
• Maintain cash float, conduct credit‑card checks and ensure proper cash‑handling procedures.
• Supervise night staff (porters, cleaners, room service) and coordinate with HR on performance.
• Backup computer systems, update guest history and prepare contingency reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of experience in hotel front‑office or night‑audit roles.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent planning, organization, adaptability and ability to develop others.
