National Trainer – ToT Curriculum Development (Contract)

About the role

The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN‑Habitat) is seeking a National Trainer on an individual contractor basis to design and deliver a Training‑of‑Trainers (ToT) programme across Lebanon. The role combines curriculum development, workshop facilitation, and post‑training coaching to build local capacities in participatory mapping and community action planning.

Key responsibilities

• Produce an inception report with work plan, methodology and timeline.
• Develop the full ToT curriculum, including session plans, trainer manual, participant handbook and field tools.
• Create assessment instruments such as pre/post tests, verification checklists and monitoring templates.
• Design and deliver four regional ToT workshops (3 days each) in the designated areas.
• Provide up to five days of on‑site coaching to support cascade trainings.
• Submit all deliverables (curriculum, reports, coaching summary, final report) and hand over editable training materials.
• Coordinate closely with UN‑Habitat staff throughout the project.

Required profile

• Ability to work remotely while travelling to training sites in Akkar, Beirut, Bekaa, Saida and surrounding regions.
• Experience delivering adult‑learning sessions and providing on‑site coaching.
• Strong coordination skills to work under the supervision of the Head of the Urban Development and Governance Unit.
