Mechanical Engineer – Brazzaville, Congo

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical aspects of large‑scale construction projects in Brazzaville, Congo. You will be responsible for overseeing MEP execution, ensuring design compliance, and coordinating procurement and site activities across multiple African locations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the execution of mechanical works on major construction projects.
• Supervise and coordinate all site activities related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Review and coordinate mechanical design drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and constructability.
• Support the preparation, review, and approval of mechanical design documents and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for sourcing, technical evaluation, and selection of mechanical equipment and materials.
• Manage procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of mechanical systems and components.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and deadlines.
• Provide technical guidance and support to site teams and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in mechanical engineering within large‑scale construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience in mechanical design review, project execution, site supervision, and procurement of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Strong background in MEP works, design coordination, and project implementation.
• Experience in technical evaluation, vendor coordination, and procurement processes for mechanical equipment and materials.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to work across various locations in Africa.
