Mechanical Designer – Piping Design

About the role

Jedson Engineering is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer specialized in piping systems to join its growing team in Cincinnati. You will create detailed 3D models, layouts, and documentation that meet industry codes and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs and layouts for piping systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Produce equipment layouts, piping routings, orthographic drawings, isometrics, and bills of material.
• Maintain and update the overall 3D model throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate work with lead designers and ensure discipline standards and checklists are applied.
• Prepare engineering drawings, documentation, and support client meetings as required.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of experience in piping engineering or design, preferably within an engineering services environment.
• Associate degree in Drafting, Design, or a related field.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proven ability to develop facility layouts, equipment arrangements, and piping support solutions.
