Local Consultant – National Digital Green Transition Framework (Jordan)

About the role

The Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) seeks a local consultant to lead the development of Jordan's National Digital Green Transition Framework. The consultant will work remotely for a period of 16 weeks, delivering a comprehensive report that integrates digital transformation with low‑carbon, climate‑resilient strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a full report (minimum 30 pages) in English, formatted in MS‑Word, including a table of contents, lists of tables and figures, and a 2‑4 page executive summary.
• Conduct research on digital technologies and green transition initiatives relevant to Jordan and the Arab region.
• Ensure all sources are properly cited, include scanned copies of reference material, and verify that plagiarism does not exceed 20% of the document.
• Maintain confidentiality of all deliverables; ESCWA retains full ownership of the content.
• Submit all deliverables electronically to the designated focal point within the agreed timeline.

Required profile

• Proven experience in policy analysis, digital transformation, or green transition projects.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities, with attention to detail and formatting standards.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines while communicating remotely.
• Fluency in English; familiarity with Jordanian context is an advantage.
