Lead Software Engineer

About the role

Speedlane, a digital product agency, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive client engagements, shape product solutions, and mentor a development team. You will collaborate with product and design teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable software for web and mobile platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage AI agents and tools to accelerate coding and automate repetitive tasks.
• Lead end‑to‑end design and development of web and mobile applications using React, React Native, and Node.js.
• Design, implement, and optimise scalable databases, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Architect modular, maintainable, and reusable solutions aligned with industry best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to translate requirements into actionable tasks.
• Communicate technical guidance to clients and manage expectations.
• Support career growth of direct reports through coaching and mentorship.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience building product‑centric software solutions.
• Strong full‑stack knowledge and modern web/mobile development paradigms.
• Experience managing direct reports and leading technical teams.
• Proficient English communication, both written and spoken.
