Kitchen Porter – Full‑time

About the role

Join the dedicated catering team at Grange Restaurant in Buckfast, Devon, delivering warm and welcoming hospitality to visitors. As a Kitchen Porter you will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and support the smooth operation of the kitchen and front‑of‑house service.

Key responsibilities

• Follow schedules and processes for cleaning, waste handling, deliveries and storage.
• Perform basic food preparation tasks as required.
• Assist the Front of House team during service periods.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental standards throughout the kitchen.
• Ensure all areas are tidy and meet the restaurant’s cleanliness standards.

Required profile

• Positive, ‘can do’ attitude with strong teamwork ability.
• Great attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality.
• Proactive ownership of tasks and ability to follow schedules.
• Flexibility to work across kitchens and varied hours, including weekends.
• Experience in a busy catering environment (desirable).
• Basic Food Hygiene certificate (desirable, can be obtained after hire).
• Full UK driving licence to enable onsite movement (desirable).
