Junior Sous Chef

About the role

Jet Set Gourmet is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to join its on‑site kitchen team in Beirut. Working under the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will help create high‑quality, visually appealing dishes for private‑jet clients, ensuring every meal meets the brand’s standards of flavor, presentation, and consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of customized menus for flight departures.
• Supervise line operations during shifts, ensuring timely preparation and packing of orders.
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Manage stock rotation and support inventory control processes.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and efficient.
• Contribute to recipe refinement and plating technique improvements.
• Adapt dishes to special dietary requirements and last‑minute client requests.

Required profile

• Strong culinary skills in both hot and cold kitchen preparation.
• Attention to detail in plating and food presentation.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene best practices.
• Experience in high‑end catering, hotel, or restaurant environments; aviation or luxury catering experience is a plus.
• Ability to work under time pressure, manage multiple orders, and maintain consistent quality.
• Collaborative mindset with good communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays according to flight schedules.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent professional training preferred.
