Java Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for a talented Java Backend Developer to join our engineering team and help design, develop, maintain, and enhance the backend platforms that power our gift‑card, payout, and fintech products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs and integrations for gift‑card processing, payout operations, and financial transaction workflows.
• Contribute to microservices architecture, API contracts, and system integrations.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensure system resilience, and support incident resolution and root‑cause analysis.
• Deploy, operate, and improve backend applications on AWS cloud services.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional backend development experience using Java.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework ecosystem.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and working with microservices.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Understanding of secure development practices and handling sensitive financial data.
