IT Support Officer Level 2

About the role

The IT Support Officer (Level 2) provides essential technical and operational support to the university community, ensuring that digital environments, hardware, software, and network services are reliable and ready for academic and administrative activities.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve escalated (L2) hardware, software, and network issues and monitor systems daily for optimal performance.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, operating systems (Windows/macOS), and peripheral devices.
• Maintain audit‑ready digital and physical records of IT assets and incidents.
• Prepare IT labs for teaching, perform software updates, and support university events and classroom audiovisual equipment.
• Coordinate with other IT teams to deliver complex services and act as the primary liaison for classroom IT requests.
• Ensure compliance with university bylaws and security standards, perform system checks, and generate periodic asset and incident reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in IT support or high‑volume service environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and database management.
• Proficiency in English, Arabic, and French.
