Infrastructure Specialist – AWS

About the role

Aspire Software is seeking a hands‑on Infrastructure Specialist to own, secure and expand the AWS platform that powers its UK housing‑sector software. Based in Lebanon, you will ensure customer environments are reliable, well‑documented and compliant, while collaborating closely with the DevOps engineer on CI/CD pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all AWS environments (Linux, Windows Server, MongoDB) ensuring health, patching, backup and disaster recovery.
• Build and evolve infrastructure as code using Terraform, treating drift as a defect.
• Manage IAM, least‑privilege access, secrets, certificates, encryption, logging and security tooling.
• Design monitoring, alerting and dashboards; lead infrastructure incident response.
• Maintain ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials evidence, asset registers and diagrams for auditors and customers.
• Automate manual tasks with scripts, serverless functions and contribute code where infrastructure meets application.
• Document standards, create clear hand‑over guides and coach developers on safe platform usage.
• Work directly with customers to stand up dedicated environments, connect them to monitoring, identity and backup, and manage their lifecycle.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud‑native architecture.
• Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code, preferably Terraform.
• Solid understanding of Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Experience with MongoDB operations, backup and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, encryption, secrets management) and compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
• Ability to write automation scripts or serverless functions (e.g., Python, Bash, Node.js).
