Information Management Officer

About the role

The Information Management Officer (IM Officer) will support evidence‑based decision‑making by collecting, managing and analysing programme data. Working under the MEAL – Information Management Specialist, the IM Officer ensures data quality, consistency and accessibility across field offices and the head office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and optimise IM solutions, including dashboards and digital platforms, to streamline data collection and reporting.
• Translate questionnaires into digital tools using Survey123, KOBO and CommCare, and ensure teams use standardised instruments.
• Consolidate, clean and back‑up data, guaranteeing accuracy, completeness and security in line with SCI policies.
• Create geographical maps and visualisations to monitor project implementation and provide actionable insights.
• Support emergency response by rapidly setting up real‑time information systems.
• Collaborate with MEAL, programme, and case‑management teams to analyse data, generate periodic reports and feed insights into decision‑making.
• Integrate basic AI tools to improve information‑management workflows.

Required profile

• Experience in data collection, management and analysis within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Familiarity with MEAL processes and child‑safeguarding Level 3 contact requirements.
• Ability to work closely with field teams, programme developers and quality assurance units.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to data integrity.
