Hotel Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift

About the role

The Maintenance Technician on the 3rd shift ensures that guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities at Sea Palms Resort remain fully operational throughout the night. Working overnight, you will respond to work orders, perform repairs, and keep the property safe and comfortable for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repairs on air‑conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Maintain and service laundry, kitchen, guestroom, and event‑area equipment.
• Repair carpets, wall coverings, furniture, painted surfaces, and appliances.
• Replace burned‑out bulbs, conduct cosmetic fixes, and complete detailed cleaning tasks.
• Monitor and adjust chemical levels in mechanical systems.
• Service irrigation/sprinkler systems and install/remove water heaters.
• Inspect life‑safety equipment (extinguishers, smoke alarms) and follow preventive‑maintenance schedules.
• Respond to guestroom maintenance requests promptly.
• Conduct nightly property tours to remove debris, check lighting, and ensure perimeter security.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of progressive experience in hotel maintenance, construction, or general facilities upkeep.
• Familiarity with door‑lock systems and common construction tools.
• Ability to work the overnight shift (10 pm‑6 am or 11 pm‑7 am).
