Head of Engineering

About the role

The Head of Engineering will lead the engineering department across multiple construction projects, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery. This senior position requires strong leadership, deep MEP/HVAC expertise, and the ability to coordinate with diverse stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Engineering Department on several projects simultaneously.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of MEP and HVAC works.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, codes, safety regulations, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Review designs, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, manpower, and resource allocation.
• Provide technical leadership, troubleshooting, and value‑engineering solutions.
• Support project planning, scheduling, and procurement coordination.
• Implement efficient maintenance strategies and system optimisation where required.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in MEP/HVAC engineering and construction projects.
• Strong background in project management within contracting companies.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and decision‑making abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
