Head of Accounting & Finance

About the role

The Head of Accounting & Finance will lead the entire finance function for a growing organization in Ghana. This senior position is open to international and expatriate candidates who can drive financial strategy, ensure compliance, and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance function, overseeing all financial activities.
• Manage monthly and year‑end financial closing processes.
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury, and general ledger operations.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash‑flow reports.
• Monitor inventory accounting, cost of goods sold (COGS), and perform reconciliations.
• Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes.
• Lead, develop, and mentor the finance team.
• Collaborate with senior management to support strategic decision‑making and business growth.
• Utilize ERP systems effectively, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience considered an advantage.
