Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will be the financial backbone of a privately‑held group operating in construction, MEP contracting, hospitality and real estate across Lebanon and West Africa. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, this hands‑on leadership position combines deep technical work with team development as the finance function scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated reporting for all entities, managing multi‑currency consolidation and FX exposure.
• Lead and grow a small finance team while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day financial tasks.
• Restructure and standardise the finance function, including chart of accounts, close process, internal controls and reporting cadence.
• Design and operate project cost‑control mechanisms for construction/MEP work, tracking budgets, WIP, committed costs and project‑level margins.
• Manage cash flow, treasury activities and banking relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ensure statutory compliance and tax reporting in each operating country, coordinating local accountants and auditors.
• Prepare board‑level and partner‑level reports and analyses to support strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, DPA, CMA or equivalent).
• 8+ years of finance experience with proven multi‑entity consolidation expertise.
• Solid background in construction or contracting cost accounting.
• Hands‑on leader comfortable developing a small team.
• Based in Beirut and able to manage remote operations across countries, with occasional travel.
