GBV Case Management Officer (Protection)

About the role

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is seeking a dedicated GBV Case Management Officer to join its Protection team in Lebanon. Reporting to the Protection Team Leader, you will provide comprehensive case management and psychosocial support to survivors of gender‑based violence, with a focus on women, girls, and other vulnerable groups affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver case management services in line with international GBV standards, including needs assessment, action‑plan development, referrals, implementation, follow‑up and case closure.
• Provide age‑appropriate counseling for adolescents, children and survivors, ensuring best‑practice care for child survivors.
• Facilitate psychosocial support in mobile and static safe spaces, women’s community centres and child‑friendly spaces, including emotional support groups and awareness sessions.
• Record and store GBV data accurately in the GBVIMS+ Primero system, adhering to inter‑agency information‑sharing protocols.
• Prepare weekly and monthly work plans for validation by the Protection Team Leader.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities, reporting challenges and contributing to programme improvement.
• Participate in supervisory meetings to maintain standards of care and effective case management.
• Build and maintain relationships with partner agencies, community leaders and service providers, and keep service mapping up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in GBV case management, psychosocial support or protection within humanitarian settings.
• Knowledge of international GBV response standards and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to confidentiality, ethical practice and survivor‑centred approaches.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the GBVIMS+ Primero information management system.
