About the role
The Finance Specialist will support DRC’s humanitarian operations in Lebanon, ensuring compliance with organisational procedures and financial regulations. The role translates country strategies into actionable financial plans and provides technical guidance to field teams.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the mission’s finance processes, including budgeting, allocation tables and master budget updates.
- Draft, review and maintain financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support partner due‑diligence, capacity‑building plans and maintain a matrix of partner processes (NSSF, tax, VAT, exchange rates).
- Prepare and amend budget proposals in collaboration with grant and programme teams, and parameter new projects in Dynamics.
- Monitor project financial performance, adjust allocations, and review committed costs and pending transactions.
- Facilitate audit preparation, respond to audit findings and ensure timely reporting.
- Oversee financial reporting from implementing partners, conduct spot checks and ensure timely instalments.
- Maintain unified partner trackers and share budget forecast updates with finance staff.
